Shawn is a Principal Solicitor at SQL Lawyers with particular expertise in Property and Commercial Law. Shawn is an Accredited Specialist in Property Law and a Chartered Tax Adviser. He has experience working with individuals, small to medium family business and large international companies in a wide range of property and commercial transactions. Shawn has extensive and comprehensive exposure to most property and commercial law matters including (but not limited to):
- Acting for a Fortune Global 500 company in a number of large-scale property development projects in Australia with a total value of more than $1 billion;
- Acting for a listed Chinese renewable energy company in the receivables financing of $60 million in Australia and Hong Kong;
- Providing tax advice for an Australian neo-bank in respect its financing of $200 million;
- Advising and acting for large national retailers on retail, commercial and industrial leases;
- Acting for lenders and borrowers in property financing matters;
- Advising on stamp duty/landholder duty, land tax and GST arising out of complex property transactions;
- Acting for clients in complex commercial & construction disputes and litigation.
